| Snippet (Apr. 2008) |
Snippet is a handsome 7-year-old 15.1 hand black stallion who is at our ranch in Santa Fe. Snippet radiates both the classic Rocky Mountain horse look and wonderful easy-going, people-oriented personality. He has an awesome gait to go with the package. Moreover, Snippet takes to the trail with ease and with his mind focused on his rider, whether out alone or with other horses. He is experienced in crossing water, traveling up and down hills, and just generally trail-riding through rugged terrain of whatever nature.

Looking for foundation-line pedigree? Look no further. Snippet’s sire Gatsby goes back to Choco/Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown, Buddy Roe/Sewell’s Sam, and Sam Clemon’s Tim. His dam Midnight Mickey goes back to Johnson’s Toby/Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown on both her sire’s and dam’s sides. Concerned about red genes or eye problems that may be genetically transmitted? You’ll be safe with this boy as a stud choice.
Snippet is registered and certified to breed with the Rocky Mountain Horse Association (RMHA). Snippet's dam, sister and her filly are all at our ranch. See what genetics his family throws.

| Dakota (June 2008) |
Sambo’s Dakota is a handsome chocolate stud colt with a lovely long white mane, tail and forelock. Dakota was born on 6/7/2005. This good-looking boy is from old foundation bloodlines. He has the superb genetics of Sam Clemon’s Tim, Blue Smokin Sambo, Sewell’s Sam, Doc, Choco, Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown, Johnson’s Wandella, and Johnson’s Tobe in his background.
He is a stocky and well built colt, and will mature
into a medium brown stallion with all the classic RMHA attributes.
Dakota, like the typical Rocky
Mountain gaited horse,
has an easy natural gait and a great personality (we would give him a 1 on the
temperament scale, 1 being the most laid back and 10 the least). He’s so
laid back that no one can believe he’s really a stud colt. But if you could ask
the mares in the pasture, they have no problem believing that, as they are
encouraging him, and being the gentleman that he is he “smiles” back.
Dakota (June 2008)
Dakota is dual registered with both the Rocky Mountain Horse Association (RMHA) and the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Association (KMSHA). Later this year we hope to have him dual certified for breeding with both RMHA and KMSHA. Once certified, he will be one of our breeding stallions.
